11 arrested for stealing goods of Metro Rail project

Rab members arrest 11 members of an organized theft gang accused of stealing goods from Dhaka's Metro Rail Project.

According to a press release by Sajedul Islamic Sazar, media officer at Rab-4, the Rab team arrested them in a raid at Shah Ali Beribandh along with stolen goods totaling around Tk 25 million, including a truck, and a private vehicle.

Four of the four arrestees are directly involved with stealing goods from various sites. Five are brokers who help them sell the goods, while the other two are buyers.

Motaleb Sikder and Nazrul Islam, Habib Ullah Bhuiyan, Waliulalh alias Babu, Abdullah Al Mamun, Sumon Ghosh, Abdus Sattar, Mohammad Ashique, Amzad Hossain Rajon, Monir and Reazul. were arrested.
